Every once in a while, we need a walker. Whether it's a sprained ankle or a bout of vertigo, it's nice to have a walker around. We're also at that stage of life where we have those little medical procedures that leave us wobbly afterward. We also occasionally have to transport elderly relatives to events and appointments. (My father-in-law is a stubborn old cuss and refuses to get a walker. Fine. We'll keep this one handy in the hall closet or the car, just in case.)
This walker folds up compact enough to store in the corner or up on the shelf of the coat closet. It stashes neatly behind a car seat or in the trunk. I chose the red color so I can find it easily in dark corners.
The walker comes fully assembled, with an extra pair of skis. I like the skis. They glide just enough to walk easily, but keep the walker steady when I stop, and I don't have to remember to apply a brake.
I'm only 60" tall. The "default" position of the handles is the perfect height for me. The handles extend easily up to 8 more settings for taller people. They're easy to unlock with the side buttons, and lock in place when I release the button.
The walker is heavy enough to be stable, but light enough to lift easily to put in the car or on a shelf. The hardest part of setting up the walker is that I have to snap it open pretty firmly to lock it in the open position. Unlocking it is easy, just lift the center piece.
